Formula 1 Demo

In connection with the 2007 Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix, BMW Sauber F1 Team, performed F1 Demo at the Melaka International Trade Centre (MITC) Square in Ayer Keroh on Sunday, April 1st, 2007. The BMW-Sauber F1 Team drivers, Nick Heidfeld, Robert Kubica and Sebastian Vettel, were there to perform F1 Demo for people of Melaka.
A day before the demo, the BMW-Sauber F1 Team visited the historical landmarks of picturesque Melaka and held photo sessions with media. Hundreds of foreign and local tourist also got opportunity to be with the team members in person.

The demo event went wonderfully. Thousands of F1 enthusiasts gathered at MITC Square to see the event on a warm sunny day and enjoyed the performances. Most of the visitors to the events were teenagers who showed deep interest in the F1 cars and other motor sports shows.

F1 Demo was held in Melaka as a part of series of celebrations being held here coinciding with the 50th Anniversary of Independence and nationhood for its historical legends.

Petronas Motorsports team also performed many other motor sports to amuse the event visitors.
