This three days extravaganza show is organized by MITC, for the 4th consecutive time, and fully supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Melaka State Government, with collaboration and sponsored by Melaka State Tourism Action Council, Tourism Promotion Division, Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board.
The Melaka State Government supported by the Melaka Tourism Division will once again host the Melaka International Tourism Show (MITS) this year with Melaka International Trade Centre (MITC) as the organizer. The year 2006 marked the fourth consecutive year that this annual event is being held at Melaka International Trade Centre (MITC) in Ayer Keroh Melaka. Everyone is invited to come and witness this remarkable event that will commence on the 18th of August 2006, Friday and will end on the 20th of August 2006 which is on Sunday.
This 3 days event will be packed with numerous engaging activities such as cultural performance, musical show, children colouring contest, pocket bike show, quiz competition, entertaining clowns, hunt for the Golden Key and last but not least an artiste performance by none other than the infamous Akademi Fantasia’s 4th season winners, Faizal and Farhan. They will be performing during the weekend which is on the 19th of August 2006, Saturday. As to this date, the responses for MITS 2006 have been overwhelming. This has proved the enthusiasm and anticipation of the tourism players to enhance tourism business networks. Over 35,000 visitors visited the show last year. And this year MITS 2006 will again provide a golden opportunity for international buyers and sellers to establish networking and interact with each other, thus fulfilling the needs of the local and international market by promoting and selling their products and services among the categories highlighted in MITS 2006 are Health Tourism, Agro & Eco Tourism, Accommodations, Theme Parks, Shopping Centres, Travel Agents, Spas, Transportations, Arts & Heritage, History, Culture, Recreation, “Makan-Makan” and “Melaka My Second Home”. With the support of the Official Broadcaster, Official Telecommunication Provider and Official Carrier, we are sure that this event will be a successful one.
